Remembering and reflecting on the tragic Grenfell Tower fire

Three years ago on 14 June, the Grenfell Tower tragedy took the lives of 72 people and devastated the lives of many. This Sunday, on the third anniversary of this tragic event, we reflect and remember those who lost their lives, those who tirelessly tried to help and the families whose lives have changed because of it.

This year we are reflecting and remembering during a global pandemic which has meant that many of us are spending much more time at home. We have continued to prioritise fire safety work during this time and have worked extremely hard over the past year to make sure that you feel safe in your home.
  • In 2019/20, we invested £2.9million on improving fire prevention and protection work in our existing homes.
  • In 2020/21, we have invested a further £3.2million in fire safety work.
  • We have invested in developing a Building Safety Team and have now have a new Building Safety Manager, Fire Safety Surveyor and Resident Liaison Manager as part of our Building a Safer Future work.
