Right to Buy scheme announced by the Government on 8 June

On 8 June Boris Johnson announced his plans to boost home ownership in England. The plan includes extending the Government’s commitment to a ‘right to buy’ scheme for Housing Association residents and the ability to use benefit payments towards mortgage repayments.
 
So far we have no more details on how the scheme would work in practice. This means we don’t know who would be able to take advantage of the scheme or which homes may be eligible for the scheme.
