The Somers Town History Club has lots of events this week diving into the rich history of the area and people of Somers Town.
Founders of Feminism walk
Wednesday 22 September, 1pm
From radical writers to pioneers of women’s rights, there are many remarkable women who left their mark on St. Pancras. This short 30 minute walk fits into your lunchtime and takes in the plaque of Mary Wollstonecraft, the earliest feminist and her daughter Mary Shelley, the author of Frankenstein.
The walk sets off at 1pm sharp from the Ossuslton TRA Hall.
Free to locals: Donations welcome to support the History Club’s aim of opening a museum.

Black Activism walk
Wednesday 22nd September, 1.30pm.
Find out about George Padmore, a towering figure in global politics and social change, and where he lived in an unassuming Somers Town street.
This walk sets off at 1.30pm sharp from the Ossuslton TRA Hall and ends there at 2pm.
