Our first virtual Neighbourhood Explorers

01/06/2020

Neighbourhood Explorers is one of our Community Development projects, where colleagues volunteer to spend an afternoon visiting some of our communities, meeting our residents and finding out what they'd like us to do to improve their homes and communities.

We recently adjusted the way we do Neighbourhood Explorers so that we could continue to connect with residents and hear your feedback during the lockdown. Instead of visiting residents in person, six of our colleagues volunteered to call and speak to residents in seven of our buildings in Camden. Usually Neighbourhood Explorers looks like this:

With the switch to phone calls, this time around it looked a lot more like this:

The socially distanced Neighbourhood Explorers was a success, with one of our volunteers telling us:

'Residents appreciated that we were asking their opinion on things that are important to them, they also said it was really nice to hear us ask if they were alright and mean it.’
