We're looking for residents to join the Places for People National Customer Group

This opportunity to join the National Customer Group is only available to Origin Housing customers who are currently renting a Origin property or home owner Customers in our social, affordable and supported homes.

What we're looking for from members of the National Customer Group

As one of our National Customer Group members, your role is key to our development and making sure that we get things right. You will be the voice of our customers, challenging us to ensure we make positive and meaningful change to improve the services we deliver and our customer experience.

We want to be the UK's leading social enterprise and we need your help to get there! Customers are at the heart of everything we do and we want customers engaged now, more than ever and what better way than being a part of the change? With direct access to our board, you'll be pivotal in making sure that our customer voice is heard and acted upon. You'll hold us accountable and scrutinise our performance and standards, and how we deliver our services.

As part of the development of our Customer Group and Customer Scrutiny, we are expanding the National Customer Group membership and developing Regional Customer Groups as part of our Customer Voice framework. As a National Customer Group Member, you are key in representing our Customers in our Customer Group meetings.

This is a 12-month role for an Origin Housing Customer to join our National Customer Group.

There is a modest fee paid for all National Customer Group members. We appreciate every customer's situation is different so we will discuss the rates and payment options individually during the application process.

More about you

We want customers to join us who can encourage a constructive debate, whilst still being respectful towards other customer views and experiences. You'll need effective communication skills for this role and the ability to build relationships with your peers to motivate and inspire the group to contribute and achieve outcomes.

What's next?

If you meet the criteria above and a Origin Housing property is your only or principal residence, you will need to complete our 5-minute application process. We will ask you to complete some personal details and include a supporting statement that demonstrates how you meet the requirements of this position and what you think you could bring to the position. The supporting statement can be written on a word document and pasted in to the ‘supporting statement' section or you can write your supporting statement there and then in our free text box.

This role will close on 7 June, following that date, your application will be reviewed by the Places for People Recruitment team, followed by our National Customer Group.

Once our shortlisting phase is complete, if you are selected through to the next round, we will be in touch with your interview date. Interviews will be held on the 20 and 21 June in London.
