You may have seen the news over the weekend of a serious incident which took place around the corner from our main office in Eversholt St. Mourners were leaving St Aloysius Church on Phoenix Road after a funeral service on Saturday afternoon, when a car drove past and someone opened fire.

There were six people injured in the attack including two girls one aged 12 and the other aged 7. Four of those involved have been released from hospital, including the 12 year old girl who is expected to make a full recovery. One woman has life changing injuries and the 7 year old girl is in a serious but stable condition. The Police have arrested a 22 year old man on suspicion of attempted murder. At the moment there is no knowledge of the motivation behind the attack.
