HouseProud Pledge

The HouseProud Pledge is a scheme that all social housing providers can sign up to. It asks them to demonstrate their commitment to LGBTQ+ resident equality and support. 
 
HouseProud was set up in 2014 as a network for LGBTQ+ people working in social housing.  HouseProud is comprised of numerous organisations, including housing associations, ALMOs, local authorities and care providers.  The key aims are to provide networking opportunities for LGBTQ+ staff members and to campaign on / for LGBTQ+ related issues.
 
By signing up to the HouseProud pledge we aim to demonstrate our commitment to LGBTQ+ resident equality and support.
 
This has been led internally by our OPEN (Origin Pride Equality Network), a staff network group helping to raise awareness and visibility of the LGBTQ+ community.

Our network group is currently exclusive to LGBTQI+ staff and residents. We understand that confidentiality and privacy will be important to some of our members, so we have set up an e-mail account to provide an easy point of contact openstaffnetwork@originhousing.org.uk.

We’re also keen to hear from any LGBTQI+ residents that would like to join our network to share their views on how Origin can improve the homes and services for our LGBTQI+ residents.
