Celebrating 100 years since Father Basil Jellicoe arrived in Somers Town

12/11/2021

In celebration of our founder Father Basil Jellicoe's arrival in Somers Town 100 years ago, the Somers Town History Club is hosting Jellicoe 100 on 1 December at the St Pancras Old Church.

It’s been 100 years since radical priest Father Basil Jellicoe arrived in Somers Town and transformed the area, inspiring the St Pancras Housing movement, clearing slums and starting a community. In 2003 ‘Jellicoe the Musical’ told this story and on 1 December 2021, some of the original cast will retell the story.

Jellicoe the Musical was directed and produced by Rob Inglis, who passed away this year and this will be a tribute to his work.

The event will open for drinks and food and music at 6pm.

At 7.30pm, the show will begin.
