Summer parties for our service users in London and Hertfordshire

On Wednesday 4 September our Learning Disabilities Team organised our seventh annual summer party for London service users at Athlone Hall.

Together we enjoyed sunshine, pizza and homemade sandwiches made by our Team Leader Natasha Lavery. Across London and Hertfordshire we support 150 service users with learning disabilities and or autism or Asperger syndrome. Our colleagues and service users had a great time dancing and enjoying what was left of the summer weather!

We also had summer parties at our schemes in Hertfordshire. In July our service users in Stevenage came together and enjoyed a bbq, music and ice cream on the hottest day of the year, and last week our Learning Disabilities Team at Hillside had an 'ALOHA' themed party for service users and their friends and family. The weather was excellent and food and drinks were served from a Tiki bar with Ray from our Dickenson Way scheme as the barman. Our thanks to Team Leader Sarah Gruby for all the work she put into preparing the gardens and decorations.

Thank you to everyone who came together to make these events so much fun.
