Supporting our tenants struggling with hoarding
What is hoarding?
Hoarding is when someone collects an excessive number of items and stores them in a chaotic manner, usually leading to unmanageable clutter. Hoarding can be dangerous to the person, as well as to other people visiting the home or living around it. Find out more about hoarding tendencies and disorder on the NHS website.
Meet our Assessment and Support Officer
In the video below we joined Rachel to find out about the help she offers residents who struggle with hoarding. Rachel supports our tenants practically by helping to declutter their homes, as well as emotionally to work through the causes of their hoarding, so they can live safely in their homes in the future.
If you'd like some support with hoarding please contact your Neighbourhood Manager or Support Worker by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or call 0300 323 0325.
