Basil Jellicoe Hall
We are re-opening our community halls and have started taking bookings for allowed activities and events from 17 May onwards. Please read our Conditions of Hire to check whether your gathering/activity is currently allowed and if our limited capacity is suitable for you before contacting us. Basil Jellicoe Hall is on the ground floor of St Joseph's flats on Drummond Crescent in Somers Town, Camden, NW1.
Usually the main hall measures approximately 13.75M by 6.71M, and can comfortably fit 60 people sat around 10 tables. We provide 65 folding chairs, and 10 folding tables in the hall. However due to social distancing measures and our space capacity, a limit of 24 people allowed at Basil Jellico.
The kitchen is just off the main hall. It is equipped with cups and saucers, plates and cutlery, a small fridge, a kettle, and washing up sink. The kitchen cannot be used for food preparation, but there is a microwave for warming food. There is no available outdoor space. Drop off parking is available but limited.
The hall may be hired between the hours of 9am and 8pm or 9pm for meetings with no music.
How much does it cost?
The charge is £35 per hour, or £20 per hour for community groups, local charities or Origin residents. If you are eligible for the discounted rate, please complete this form, and we will create a discounted booking account for you. A flat fee of £15 per booking will be added to your booking charge to cover the additional costs of Covid safety measures.
A £100 deposit is required, and is refunded after your booking if the hall was left in good condition. We will be in touch the week before your booking to take the deposit payment.
